At South Florida Addiction Medical, we strive to provide compassionate, honest and affordable care to assist you in life long sobriety. We are a comprehensive aftercare that works with you to provide medication assisted therapy, behavioral and primary care. We offer both in-person and telehealth visits to better suit your needs, we understand the importance of providing a safe, effective and non-judgmental environment

As seasoned medical providers in the field of substance abuse and Behavioral Health, Jane and Jennifer have 2 decades of combined experience and recognize the importance of continuity of care to maintain long term sobriety. Currently they work with several PHP/IOP treatment centers.

Jane Cohn

Jane is a board-certified Physician Assistant with 20 years of experience licensed and trained in behavioral health and substance abuse. She did her undergraduate at Hahnemann University and earned a postgraduate degree in Physician Assistant studies from Drexel University. Jane is also an experienced aesthetic injector and enjoys the cosmetic industry in her spare time. In 2015 Jane started an independent contracting business in the field of addiction and psychiatric medicine. She works alongside several addiction treatment facilities in Florida, New Jersey, and Ohio. It has been her passion to open an office for continuum of care. Jane belongs to many organizations within the profession  including FAPA, AAPA, ASAM, SAPA.

She is passionate about helping people who suffer from addiction and mental health. Jane has personal experience as she has family members that struggle with mental health and addiction. 

In her spare time, she enjoys working out regularly and spending time with friends and family. Jane grew up in NE Pennsylvania. She relocated to Florida in 2008 and she has been residing in Palm Beach County, FL for the past 8 years. 

Jennifer Posner MPAS, PA-C

Jennifer is a board-certified Physician Assistant who began her career 12 years ago, after graduating from King’s College with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and completing a fellowship in Emergency Medicine and Behavioral Health from the University of Florida. From a young age, Jennifer enjoyed helping people. When she found her love for medicine, she was able to fulfill that passion and also positively affect other’s lives by becoming a Physician Assistant. Throughout her career, Jennifer’s focus has primarily been on Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Barry University also relies on Jennifer as an Adjunct Professor and Preceptor providing hands on learning in the field. Jennifer has a history of being an educator and takes pride in preparing the next generation of PA students. She is an active member of several professional leadership organizations, including AAPA, FAPA, ASAM and SEMPA.

When asked about why she wanted to open South Florida Addiction Medical, Jennifer explained, “It has always been my dream to open a practice that would better serve the community with a wider range of patients. I am especially drawn to the vulnerable addiction population, as I have a close family member who has struggled with addiction and mental health.”

In Jennifer’s spare time, she enjoys working out, going to the beach, biking and spending time with her family and friends. Jennifer hails from New York, however, she grew up in Florida. Jennifer currently resides in Pompano Beach, FL where she has been since 2014.

Dr. Alvin S. Lloyd, MD

Dr. Alvin S. Lloyd is an internist in Boca Raton, Florida and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East and West. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
